Alright y'all let me tell you a little about Dena Soliman. She is not just a mentor, she is not just a coach, she has become a dear friend for so many reasons.
When I started Dena's 30 day course, I was so excited. I thought here is my chance to learn, stretch, and grow. The 30 day course was more of a challenge and accountability group to delve into the world of social media and specifically Facebook Live. Initially, I was all in. I did my first FB Live and was terrified. No joke I was literally sick before I started. It got worse with each one. I will be honest, I did not complete the course. But...I learned so much about myself, what I wanted for myself, my family, my business, and my friends.
Again, I'm going to be really honest. I didn't like the life I was living. I didn't like what I was doing, and deeper than that - I didn't like myself. So by this point you may be asking so why should I sign up for Dena's courses and how was she so helpful to me. She changed my life. She taught me to take a deep look at myself, be honest with myself, and challenge my beliefs about myself. She gave me permission and courage to say no more. I want more. I want different. I WANT BETTER! She gave me the courage to sort that out. She gave me courage to be terrified and not be alone. I continued to watch all of the live sessions even if I couldn't always do it live.
I am truly an entrepreneur at heart. I love building businesses. I love leading and teaching and giving even when I get nothing in return. Dena is exactly the same. So I found so much in common. She was so much more then a mentor or coach. She was a role model, a living example of what I wanted to be. I had to first really look at myself. What did I truly love, where am I the happiest, what brings me joy regardless of what is happening in life. For me that is flowers. I have always loved working with flowers. I missed being in the floral industry. I missed designing. I missed creating art that always brings joy, hope, and happiness to people who sometimes going through something horrible or going through one of the most exciting times of their life, and everything in between death of a loved one to a wedding and starting a whole new life. Well, I have made a major transition in my life. I have moved almost totally out of my network marking business and feeling miserable about myself to launching a new business back in the floral and event industry. I am excited, I am happy, I am at peace, I know this is where God has brought me. And Dena has been a constant encourager, supporter, and friend. I could have been blessed with a better mentor, coach, friend, and role model.
